There is an anticipated vacancy for an Attorney-Adviser (General) located in the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI APCSS) within the Office of the Director. The incumbent will report to the Office of Counsel (OGC), Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). This position is located in Honolulu, HI. The incumbent's duties will include providing legal opinions, advisory counsel, and legal representation to the DKI APCSS Director and Deputy Director, as well as, DKI APCSS staff on all aspects of Agency functions, to include constitutional and statutory interpretations, fiscal law, personnel law (including equal employment opportunity), standards of conduct, post-employment briefings, and general procurement issues, administrative law, international law and treaty law, and the laws concerning security cooperation. The Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI APCSS) is a U.S. Department of Defense institute that officially opened Sept. 4, 1995, in Honolulu, Hawaii. DKI APCSS addresses regional and global security issues, inviting military and civilian representatives of the United States and Asia-Pacific nations to its comprehensive program of executive education and workshops, both in Hawaii and throughout the Indo-Pacific region. The Center supports the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command's objective of developing professional and personal ties among national security establishments throughout the region.
