RESPONSIBILITIES: * Attending trials, arbitrations, depositions, mediations, and other court appearances. * Preparing pleadings and motions, drafting discovery, mediation briefs, and trial briefs. * Ability to adhere to strict deadlines while multi-tasking and working in a fast-moving litigation environment is necessary. * Settle and negotiate personal injury cases. * Keep clients fully informed by communicating with clients to understand their legal concerns and needs to help provide them with essential client service. * Accurately value and develop cases. * Document files with notes and records using. * Provide clients with an accurate accounting of their settlements. * Excellent organizational skills and time management is a must. * Be able to work well with legal assistants. * Have ownership and a strong knowledge of a portfolio. * Prosecute cases in a timely manner. * Return client calls. * Remain current on federal and state laws, regulations, and practices affecting firm business. Knowledge, Skills, & Experience: * An active Texas Bar License. * Experience in Personal Injury. * Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed attorney in any jurisdiction is required.
