About the Role: We have an exciting opportunity to support our Legal team as a Lead Counsel, Technology & Digital based in the USA. The Lead Counsel, Technology & Digital leads and supports negotiations and contracting in connection with the procurement of global and domestic technology products and services. This role also provides ongoing legal support for the Brand's global programs and initiatives which depend on technology, such as Remote Order (e-commerce channels), Restaurant Technologies, Off-Premises Innovation, and Enterprise Technology, among others. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Review, draft, and negotiate legal terms, both for complex and routine contracts attending technology products and services, e.g., software licensing and support, delivery of anything (software, platform, infrastructure, hardware, data) as a service, equipment purchase and maintenance, consulting, professional and other services agreements. Provide legal advice concerning business to business agreements as well as business to customer relationships, including in relation to software and hardware supply, outsourcing, data rights, development agreements, cloud and as-a-Service agreements, and other contracts. Oversee and provide guidance to in-house and outside counsel supporting the team. Identify and engage appropriate stakeholders and subject matter experts on Legal, Risk, Technology, Tax, and business teams to escalate issues. Research and prepare guidance on technology and contractual issues. Any other responsibilities that may be assigned as needed. Qualifications (some examples listed below): 6+ years of attorney experience in technology and commercial transactions. 3+ years' experience in a top law firm. In-house experience is a plus. Exceptional communications, drafting, and negotiation skills. Familiarity with data protection and privacy issues and concerns in the context of domestic and international technology and commercial transactions. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines. Enthusiastic team player. What do we Offer?
